What rights does an adopted child acquire upon adoption?

Upon adoption, the adopted child acquires the same legal status in regard to the adoptive parents and their relatives as if they were the biological child of the adoptive parents. The right of succession is established between the adopted and the adoptive parents and other relatives.

At the same time, the pre-existing legal relationship between the child and their biological parents and other relatives is terminated, such as the right of succession.

More information on adoptions can be found here.
