Parents are able to change a contract regarding child maintenance payments by making a new contract.
For example, the change can be a request for increased child maintenance or a request for a reduction or a cancellation of increased child maintenance.

If no agreement can be reached:

• an application for a ruling regarding change in child maintenance can be submitted to the district commissioner

• or a claim can be made for a judge to decide child maintenance if a custody or a domicile case is proceeding in court.
