Can a child be domiciled with both parents?

No, but parents can make an agreement about shared residence of their child. A shared residence of a child is an agreement between parents with joint custody that the child has a permanent residence with both of them. Registers Iceland will register the child as being domiciled with one parent and having a residence home with the other.

Further information on split residence can be found here.
