District Commissioners: Business Licenses
What is the difference between an operating license for a Category II restaurant and a Category III restaurant?
Category II includes small-scale alcohol-serving establishments where the activities are not likely to cause disturbances in the neighborhood, such as with loud music, and places that do not require significant supervision and/or law enforcement.
Category III includes large-scale alcohol-serving establishments, such as those with loud music, and places that require more supervision and/or law enforcement.
