Restaurants are classified into the following types based on their operations and the services they offer to customers. Each type of restaurant may fall under more than one of the aforementioned categories, depending on the activities specified in the establishment's operating license.

Restaurant

An establishment offering a diverse range of food and beverages with full service. A restaurant must employ a person with adequate knowledge in serving.

Entertainment Venue

A restaurant with regular entertainment activities and a variety of food and/or beverages. This category also includes places where the primary focus is on serving alcohol, guest dancing, music, and extended operating hours, with limited or no food service.

Cafeteria and Snack Bar

Establishments offering a limited range of food and/or beverages. These places provide minimal service, and guests may partially or entirely serve themselves. Examples include fast food restaurants and kiosks with facilities for consuming food on-site.

Catering Service and Food Shop

Places where food is sold for consumption off the premises.

Café

An establishment offering simple food and/or beverages, with a primary focus on coffee. This category includes bakeries with facilities for on-site consumption.

Pub

An establishment with limited service and simple or no food offerings, primarily focusing on serving alcohol and extended operating hours.

Event Halls

Venues specifically designed and intended for various types of events, rented out commercially to individuals and/or companies, with or without food and/or beverage service. Community centres, sports halls, hangars, warehouses, and other premises not typically intended for commercial events may fall under this category if rented out for entertainment purposes more than twelve times a year.
