Sjónstöðin provides counseling, training, and rehabilitation, gathers and disseminates knowledge about the circumstances of its users to improve services, support progress, and increase their activity and participation in society.

Role

• To have an overview of the conditions of blind and visually impaired individuals and coordinate with other service providers for these users.

• To provide education, counseling, and support to relatives, schools, and other service organizations.

• To serve individuals with combined vision and hearing impairment and their relatives in the specialized areas that Sjónstöð is equipped to handle, in collaboration with other partners.
