Sjónstöðin provides counseling, training, and rehabilitation, gathers and disseminates knowledge about the circumstances of its users to improve services, support progress, and increase their activity and participation in society.
Role
To have an overview of the conditions of blind and visually impaired individuals and coordinate with other service providers for these users.
To provide education, counseling, and support to relatives, schools, and other service organizations.
To serve individuals with combined vision and hearing impairment and their relatives in the specialized areas that Sjónstöð is equipped to handle, in collaboration with other partners.
