The usage of all core services on Ísland.is will grow in 2024, and it is therefore important to ensure that this increase will be ensured all the way — that users know and choose digital solutions over paper processes.

By the end of 2024, a total of 103 public entities in Iceland had connected to and used the Digital Mailbox on Ísland.is for their communication with individuals and legal entities.

Benefits of Ísland.is Application system estimated at 900 million ISK

The number of applications that passed through the Iceland.is application system increased by 79% between years. The total number of applications in the system was around 300,000 in 2024.
