Child paternity - co-parental sentences

Documents related to child custody cases and paternity are archived in the National Archives of Iceland. Because sensitive personal data are covered in these cases, public access is limited for 80 years but individuals who are connected to the case can request access. In a request for access, information must be provided on the names of the parties, as precise as possible, and the district commissioner's office or police chief who handled the case. If such information is not available, it may be sufficient to specify in which municipality the parties were domiciled when the case was brought.
