Medical records
Note that active medical records are generally not kept in the National Archives (patient records of living individuals).
An exception to this may be medical records from self-employed doctors who have retired.
Most medical records that are kept in the National Archives are from health institutions that have provided records of deceased individuals.
Access to medical records and other health information for individuals is subject to access restrictions, see rules on access to data. This is not applicable if you request your own medical records. It must also be stated which doctor and/or healthcare institution is involved and the most accurate time.
