Obligation to provide information as part of the responsibility principle
When should the information should provided?
When information is obtained directly from an individual, the information on the processing shall be provided simultaneously with that information gathering.
If the information is obtained from others, for example companies or governments, this must be done no later than one month after the information is obtained.
