On February 13th, at the Sameyki awards ceremony, the results of the Institution of the Year 2024 selection were announced. The titles Institution of the Year – State Institutions, Institution of the Year – Municipality Institutions, and Institution of the Year – Non-Profit Organizations and Public Service Companies are awarded to institutions deemed outstanding by their employees. The evaluation is based on nine factors: credibility of management, workplace atmosphere, salary conditions, working conditions, job flexibility, autonomy in work, institution's reputation, job satisfaction and pride, and equality.

This time, Sjónstöðin was one of the state institutions nominated for Institution of the Year. Among all state institutions participating in the evaluation, Sjónstöðin ranked 6th overall and 5th among smaller state institutions with 5–39 employees. Additionally, Sjónstöðin received the title of Exemplary Institution of the Year, which is awarded to institutions that place in the top five in the Institution of the Year selection. This marks a significant improvement for Sjónstöðin, as it ranked 20th in 2023.
