Iceland Health: Rights between countries
I moved to Iceland from the United States a year ago but have not yet moved my domicile to Iceland. When I move my legal domicile to Iceland, will I be retroactively health-insured as of the date of arrival in Iceland a year before?
When domicile is transferred to Iceland from a country outside the EEA, 6 months pass before health insurance takes effect and there is no contribution for medical services received during this period. An application for health insurance is not required in such cases.
