Submission of Reports for Religious or Philosophical Organizations

All registered religious and philosophical organizations are required to submit an annual report on their activities for the previous year. This report must be submitted by March 31 and must provide information on the organization's activities, finances, and any changes that may have occurred in the organization's operations or structure.

Information to be Included in the Report

• Name of the organization, address, and the head of the organization

• The board of the organization

• Any changes in the organization’s structure

• Allocation of funds and changes in assets

• The organization's activities

It is possible to submit an annual report and financial statements instead of filling out the form, and these can be sent to truoglif@syslumenn.is.

The report will be reviewed, and it will either be confirmed or returned with comments, giving the organization's leaders an opportunity to respond. If the organization does not submit a report, it may be issued a warning. If no report is submitted after the warning, the organization may be removed from the register.
