Change of religious or philosophy association

If significant changes are to be made to a religious organisation or a life-examination association, they must be notified to the District Commissioner immediately. This shall be done by sending an e-mail to the e-mail address truoglif@syslumenn.is.

Changes such as the following must be notified:

• Company name changed

• Director's job, appointment or retirement

• Significant changes in the theories the company operates on

• Substantial changes in assets or disposal of funds of a company

• Authorizes non-executives to marry

The changes are considered by the District Commissioner and can be approved or comments made on the changes. The director of the association or its board of directors will then have the opportunity to respond to those comments.
