Change of Religious or Secular Life Stance Organization

If significant changes are to be made to a religious or secular life stance organization, they must be reported immediately to the District Commissioner. This can be done by sending an email to truoglif@syslumenn.is.

The following changes must be reported:

• Change of the organization's name

• Changes regarding the leader's appointment or resignation

• Significant changes to the doctrines that the organization operates under

• Significant changes to the organization's assets or financial arrangements

• Granting permission for individuals other than leaders to officiate marriages

These changes will be reviewed by the District Commissioner and may either be approved or comments may be made regarding the changes. The organization's leader or board will then have the opportunity to respond to these comments.
