Misleading reporting about the levy in 2023

Due to misleading news coverage regarding the levy for 2023 in a group of TR customers, we would like to reassure you that TR did not provide incorrect information to the Icelandic Tax Service regarding the cash payments of TR customers.
The calculation of the tax for each year is the responsibility of the Tax office and therefore incorrect calculation of the tax bill is not in the hands of Tryggingastofnun.
It can be pointed out that the Icelandic Tax office will have informed the ESA that corrections will be made by May 31st.
