Good cooperation between TR and Digital Iceland

Up until now, it was possible to access the disability certificates on My pages and order plastic cards on TR’s website, but now it is also possible to access the certificate digitally on Ísland.is. “At Digital Iceland we have a great and good collaboration with the Social Insurance Administration. Digital disability certificate is only one of many projects that are in progress, but we hope that it will simplify the lives of those who serve the institution and the work of the staff,” said Andri Heiðar Kristinsson, CEO of Digital Iceland.

Various discounts

Those with 75% disability rating are entitled to disability cards and the card is valid for the same period as the disability rating. Disability cards are not the same as a personal identification card but they offer various discounts to their holders at numerous companies and institutions.

Since August of last year, about 600 plastic disability cards have been issued on average every month, so it is clear that this innovation will benefit many people.
