Contract with the United Kingdom on social security rights shall enter into force

The agreement between Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway and the United Kingdom on the coordination of social security, signed this summer, formally entered into force at the end of the year or on 1 January last.
The agreement between Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway and the United Kingdom on the coordination of social security, signed this summer, formally entered into force at the end of the year or on 1 January last. It provides for future arrangements for rights in the field of social security, mainly as regards pension rights and health insurance for those travelling or moving between the countries.
It is noted that individuals who began receiving an old-age pension and/or received a disability pension before 1 January 2024 and are resident in the UK retain their entitlements unchanged.
