Grants from SAk's Scientist Fund are allocated once a year. The grants are allocated according to the proposals of the Scientific Council of the Akureyri Hospital. The grant was 9,158,132 ISK.

The positions at the School of Education and Science are for permanently employed staff in higher education who reduce their work hours due to scientific work. This summer we plan to learn about researchers in these positions and their projects. The annual meeting of SAk, which took place today, honored staff who leave their positions due to retirement. These were in total 10 people, many of whom have worked at the hospital for a number of years.
