Objectives
The Directorate of Labour provides good access to information on the issues the agency deals with and on its tasks. The Directorate of Labour handles the collection, processing and publication of statistical information on labour market issues, such as unemployment and available resources. The Directorate of Labour presents its projects and activities in a concrete and visible manner.
Implementation
The website of the Directorate of Labour (www.vmst.is) plays a key role in providing information to customers and stakeholders.
The Institute holds annual meetings and publishes an annual report, where information on the Institute's activities can be obtained.
Reports on labour market issues and the success of various labour market measures are available on the Institute's website, as well as initiatives for external briefings.
Information to media, stakeholders, institutions, companies and public bodies. Participation in meetings, conferences and other events related to the Agency's activities. The Agency uses social media in a coordinated manner to share information.
Responsibility
The Director is responsible for the disclosure of information to the Agency and acts in its behalf, while the Deputy Director in the absence of the Director.
The Director shall appoint the Agency's promotional team to work on the implementation of the information policy, after further details.

Internal information dissemination
Objectives
The purpose of internal information is to inform employees about the operations of the institution and its projects.
Implementation
The information is given to employees in the following way:
Through information sharing through the Workplace socialized internal website.
Information is also provided at department meetings, field meetings and employee meetings.
The quality manual provides information on the work processes of the Institute's projects.
With morning meetings on Tuesdays and afternoon meetings on Fridays, which is a platform for information to staff on the various issues that are related to the institution in one way or another.
Responsibility
The senior management (the directors of departments and the director) is responsible for the information being communicated to employees.
Each employee is responsible for information being made available on the Workplace, a socially oriented internal website for employees.
Re-evaluation
The Director of IT and Research takes up the policy in October each year and reviews it with experts in the field.
