The role of Digital Iceland is to simplify people’s lives by prioritizing the user, supporting institutions on the digital journey and developing and operating the digital infrastructure of the public sector. See further information here.
Purpose
The purpose of the quality policy is that all solutions on Ísland.is meet the goal of quality and efficiency so that users can rely on the solutions and they meet the needs of users in a user-friendly way.
Quality objectives
Ísland.is are shared solutions owned by the general public and when publishing new solutions and operations, it is necessary to consider:
Feedback and continuous improvement to improve user experience
Following established policies for the selection, prioritisation and formulation of projects
Content Strategy and Accessibility Guidelines are followed
Ísland.is Design System, Developer Handbook and Technical Direction is followed
Information Security Policy and Data Protection Policy is followed
Maximizing uptime and accessibility of solutions for Digital Iceland and its partners
Being quick to react to errors and incidents
Close older services that are not in use or not maintained
Solutions are released and put into use when they are ready
By focusing on few standardized products and active product management, Digital Iceland can offer public entities products that meet modern software requirements and are built with the needs of different parties in mind.
