An application for collaboration is a way for Icelandic government agencies and ministries to work with Digital Iceland's experts on digital projects supporting the government's emphases on digital communication, self-service and digital infrastructure.

Projects are selected and prioritized based on their value proposition. The applicant fills out a form to provide essential information, such as user stories, the number of affected users, project description, objectives, scope and funding. The information provided enables Digital Iceland to prioritise projects and expedite delivery.

The promotion of digital services is one the Icelandic government's priorities with the objective to strengthen digital communication as the main point of contact between the public and government agencies.
