Heirs have 30 days to appeal the Commissioner's decision on inheritance tax to the High Tax Committee if they disagree with it. The handling of the complaint then depends on the provisions of the Act on the Higher Tax Committee.

Disputes about inheritance tax do not postpone the due date of inheritance tax or exempt anyone from the penalties imposed for non-payment.
