Necessary treatment due to the consequences of congenital defects, accidents and diseases, which is not a professional right to provide until after the age of 17, Iceland Health will pay according to the children's price list.

In the case of congenital defects, disiases or accidents involving pensioners, 80% of the pensioner's price list will be paid.

In the case of congenital defects, diseases or accidents in chronically ill patients, the costs of a dentist´s are paid up to a certain maximum. See further details here.

For young persons aged 18-23, 100% is paid for necessary dental treatment due to serious consequences of birth defects, diseases or accidents that occur before the age of 18, but is not professionally correct to complete until full bonedevelopment is achieved.

Other health insured persons who are insured because of serious consequences of congenital defects, diseases or accidents in the course of their leisure and accidents and are not paid from a third party/insurance company, are paid 80% of the agreed price list. See further details hér.

Accident insurance rules apply to dental damage in work accidents. In serious cases specified in the regulation choose dentystry, 95% of the costs are paid from the dentist´s price list. See more informations here.
