Digital Iceland: Lower airfares for residents in rural areas (Loftbrú)
Who is entitled to Loftbrú?
All residents of rural areas who are domiciled in a specific area away from the Greater Reykjavík Area, as well as islands without road connections. Loftbrú covers the Westfjords, parts of the North-West, North-East, East-Iceland, Hornafjörður and the Westman Islands. The area is delimited by postal codes.
Children who are domiciled within the Loftbrú area with a guardian and/or parent are entitled to Loftbrú.
After a change in registered legal domicile, it may take up to 30 days for the right to Loftbrú to become active.
