Facilities and powers of the data protection officer
A data protection officer must have the necessary resources, namely facilities and powers, to be able to perform his/her duties.
In view of the nature and scope of the activity, the data protection officer shall have at least the following facilities and powers:
active support of the senior officers, which includes, among other things, that the data protection officer should not be punished for the performance of his/her duties;
sufficient time to perform the task,
adequate financial support, facilities and subordinates, where appropriate,
the formal status of a data protection officer with regard to other employees,
access to support services within the activities so that he/she receives the support he/she needs, input and information from other services,
continuous training/re-education.
