Security measures for the storage of personal data in a cloud computing environment
Multi-modal security measures to ensure cloud security
Among the measures that controllers need to consider to ensure the security of personal data stored in cloud computing are so-called multi-level security measures. The most useful use of such measures consists of but is not limited to:
Access Controls
Firewalls
Antiviral
Vocational training
Strategy
By installing a multi-modal security system, it is possible to ensure that if one security issue is missed, the next one will take over.
Most cloud service providers offer guidance on how best to ensure a secure cloud environment, but ultimately it is always the responsibility of the party making the decision to use the service, to ensure that the security of the information processed is secured and to comply with other provisions of the data protection legislation.
It is not sufficient to rely on certification or best practices of service providers.
