Obligations regarding the storage and deletion of personal data
Preservation of material resulting from monitoring with CCTV or other equipment
Personal data generated by monitoring with CCTV or other equipment shall not be stored unless it is necessary for the purpose of the monitoring.
Personal data collected during such monitoring shall be deleted when there is no longer a substantive reason to retain them.
The material reason for the retention of information may be based on, among other things, an order in law or the fact that the controller is still working with it in accordance with the original purpose of obtaining it.
However, information generated by electronic monitoring may not be stored for more than 30 days unless the law requires.
This does not apply to personal data generated by the recording of an event or stored in security backups.
The same applies to information necessary for the delineation, presentation or defense of a claim in the course of a judicial proceeding or other such legal necessity.
