Sale of microlight flights is prohibited

The Icelandic Transport Authority draws attention to a decision made by the Consumer Agency regarding the marketing of microlight flights for a fee.
According to current regulations, microlight flying is only permitted for recreational and sporting purposes, and the sale of such flights is prohibited.
The Consumer Agency monitors business practices and marketing under Act No. 57/2005 and concluded that the marketing in question violated this legislation.
