Due to a volcanic eruption and necessary emergency and investigative flights, the Icelandic Transport Authority has, at the request of the Civil Protection Coordination Centre, prohibited drone flights in an area within 2 kilometres around the eruption, reference point 635300N02223W, area delineated as the red circle on the picture. The ban is valid until midnight 25 March 2024. Exemption requests shall be submitted to the Civil Protection Coordination Centre via e-mail info@sst.is or via phone 831-1644.
