Due to a volcanic eruption and necessary emergency and investigative flights, the Icelandic Transport Authority has, at the request of the Civil Protection Coordination Centre, prohibited drone flights in an area within 2 kilometers around position 6353N02223W, area BIR4 as per AIP SUP 06/24. The ban is valid until 19:00 on 17 March 2024. Exemption requests shall be submitted to the Civil Protection Coordination Centre via e-mail info@sst.is or via phone 831-1644.
