This year's conference will commence with the theme "From Plant to Plank," tracing the journey of forest cultivation from nursery to timber harvesting. This theme will be explored through presentations and panel discussions. Day two will encompass a broad range of forestry topics, including forest science and technical aspects, and will also feature poster presentations. The detailed preliminary program is available on the conference information page.

The deadline for submitting lecture proposals to the conference program has passed; however, the submission period for poster presentations remains open until March 14th. Please submit your poster proposals to bjarni@lbhi.is.

Registration

The conference fee is ISK 25,000, and registration is conducted via a dedicated form on the Land and Forest Iceland website. All participants must register using this form. Deadline for registration is March 14th.

Accommodation and meals

Conference registration includes lunch both days, refreshments during breaks, and a celebratory dinner the evening before. The dinner may be declined, reducing the fee by ISK 8,000.

Transport to and from airport

Airport transport is available as follows:

• Egilsstaðir Airport to Hallormsstaður upon arrival of the evening flight on March 25th

• Egilsstaðir Airport to Hallormsstaður upon arrival of the morning flight on March 26th

• Hallormsstaður to Egilsstaðir Airport departing at 3 PM following the conference conclusion March 27th.

Each leg costs ISK 2,500.
