February 11th serves as a focal point for recognising the contributions of women and girls in science. Land and Forest Iceland observes this day by showcasing the contributions of its female scientists.
The International Day of Women and Girls in Science aims to emphasise the significance of gender equality within the scientific community by promoting equal access and opportunities for all genders. The inaugural observance was in 2015.
At Land and Forest Iceland, women constitute 45% of our total workforce, with a substantial number employed in scientific roles.
