This spring, the National Registry of Iceland began disseminating information on custody and relationships electronically. In Heilsuveru family numbers and domicile will no longer be used to connect children to guardians. Instead, the National Registry´s electronic custody and relationship register is used. With this change, both guardians will automatically have access to their child's information in Heilsuvera. Access related to the child's legal domicile will no longer be valid. The amendment is scheduled to take effect around the month of June – July.
