Working group on innovations in electronic monitoring of fisheries
27th October 2023
In 2022 The Directorate of Fisheries initiated the creation of a working group on innovations in electronic monitoring of fisheries with the participation of fisheries authorities in Canada, Greenland, the Faroe Islands, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and the UK.
This week participants in the project ended a two-day workshop in London hosted by the Embassy of Iceland.
Work will continue until the end of 2024, mostly via virtual meetings, but the intention is that the results of this work will be presented at a final workshop that will take place in Iceland in the fall of 2024. The picture shows the participants at the meeting in London.
