The allocation is made in accordance with Act, amending the Act on Fishing within the Icelandic Fisheries Jurisdiction and the Act on Fisheries Management (Lumpfish Fisheries Management).

Those who have been allocated catch shares will receive an official letter from The Directorate of Fisheries outlining the decision. The letter will be sent by post and to the recipient's digital mailbox on Ísland.is. 

The Directorate of Fisheries encourages recipients to review the details of the allocation in the letter. All Inquiries and comments regarding the allocation can only be submitted via email to fiskistofa@fiskistofa.is. 

Following the allocation of catch shares, the Directorate of Fisheries will distribute catch quota in accordance with Regulation on Commercial Fishing for the 2024/2025 fishing year and the calendar year 2025.
