Digital maternity leave

A digital application for parental leave has played a key role in the development of Ísland.is' application system and removed obstacles that will be of use to all institutions that wish to take advantage of the system.

The application was quietly aired on Ísland.is and on the website of the Directorate of Labour in the following year. It is clear that demand was high, as in April the proportion of digital applications rose by more than 50%, despite the fact that the service was not introduced specifically. The digital application saves a lot of time for individuals that no longer need to gather information and send it to their parental leave funds. They now retrieve the information needed automatically and submit it to the fund's work system. About 14 thousand people apply for parental leave every year and it is clear that they save a lot of time for individuals, employers and employees of the Maternity/Paternity Leave Fund. Not to mention the paper savings.

Expecting parents now apply digitally and can follow the status of their applications in the Ísland.is app.

Connecting the State Conference - 8th of September 2022

We constantly seek new ways to provide information to users and the latest product is the service website of Ísland.is. The website is ranked according to the most common questions of users and thus, the user is the key role.

Ísland.is Payment Plan - NEW

Part of the service The Financial Management Authority provides is to improve access to information through My Pages on Ísland.is. What's new is that taxpayers can set up their own distribution of payments.

The State Human Resources Centre in Iceland.is

Working on Iceland.is is the Human Resources Centre, which contains information for managers and human resources personnel in the state. The website is provided by the Financial Management Authority and the Division of Wage and Human Resources. The website was previewed at dawn and now human resource people have an opportunity to review and improve in collaboration with the administrators. The project is a part of coordinating and improving information provision.

Applications for renewal of residence permits can now be sent to the Directorate of Immigration digitally through the website of Iceland.is.
