Iceland.is with 4 nominations
The Icelandic Web Awards will be awarded tonight 11th of March 2022, in which Digital Iceland has 4 nominations. A large number of digital projects were published last year in collaboration with government agencies and ministries. The tasks were as varied as they are many. We are proud of all of them and also grateful for the recognition that comes from being nominated.
The projects that were nominated are:
Ísland.is as the public website of the year
Mínar síður Ísland.is as a web system
Digital contract childrens shared domicile as digital solution
Icelands Regulation as a web-based system
We thank our team members for their cooperation and congratulate them on the nominations. . . as well as the nominations they received in addition.
The Iceland.is app is out!
The app has been in user testing in the last month and is now available in the Appstore and Google Play. Today you can find information about driving rights in the app, but you can expect a number of other documents in there. The digital mailbox is also particularly conveniently accessible in the app.
Iceland is Ukraine
The need for a centralised place for public bodies to provide information to the public proves itself to be a continual success. It was evident at the time when it came to communicating the means available to support Ukraine.
Licence - new to My pages
My pages on Iceland.is are constantly evolving and now the people in Iceland can view their driving rights under a new category called Licences or Skírteini. Work is underway to add more certificates and rights such as vaccination cards, firearms licences and passports.

Health Insurance to Ísland.is
Health insurance has been working on importing its website to Ísland.is for the past few months. The website has been published informally with the aim of user testing and fine tuning.
Reassessment of the insurance amount 2022
Travel agencies must submit data each year to reassess the insurance amount that determines payment to the Travel Guarantee Fund. The application for travel agencies can be found at . 348 travel agencies must submit a reassessment this year.
You wanna be a cop?
For the third year in a row, the application process for police education is to be found on Iceland.is.
Sandbox of the Data Protection Authority
Data protection, the Directorate of Health and Digital Iceland are working together on a project with the aim of increasing knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence and assessing possible risks in the processing of personal data. Applications are accepted until 14 March.

X-Road in the Cloud
On March 17th Andes is hosting a web-based course, where experts from Andes, AWS and NIIS will present X-Road technology and how to connect to the Strait via an installation on the Strait (X-Road) in the AWS cloud.
