Expert teams for children with serious developmental and mental disorders
A team of specialists is in operation for children with serious developmental and mental disorders.
Municipalities can request the team's advice by filling out a request and sending it with supporting documents by mail to the National Agency for Children and Families or securely via Signet Transfer (see link).
The team shall advise local authorities on appropriate services for children with serious developmental and mental disorders who need other and more comprehensive services than can be provided in their families' homes, in accordance with Article 20 on services for people with long-term support needs.

Hjördís Auður Árnadóttir, psychologist at the Stuðlar treatment center
Kristjana Gunnarsdóttir, director of the welfare department of the City of Reykjavík
