Pre-registration for Connecting the State

Pre-registration has begun for the Connecting States Conference, which will be held in Harpa on 22 September. T

he title of the conference is Digital Society and is divided into the sub-themes Digital Leadership, Digital Iceland, and Digital Security. This year's conference will be held in collaboration with a Nordic Council of Ministers meeting, which Iceland will chair.

The conference will occur as early as 22 September from 12.30-17, both in Harpa and in streaming.

Interesting numbers

Digital Iceland follows all statistics carefully regarding usage, implementation, and communication. This allows for mapping trends, making steeper decisions, and rapid intervention if any abnormal patterns occur. This season a huge increase is taking place and it is important to understand what is happening behind the numbers. For example, the Icelandic Tax Administration started using the Ísland.is authentication system this May. This had a huge impact on the statistics between months.

May 2023:

• 495,791 visits to Ísland.is, an 18% increase between months.

• 40,699 log-on to My pages, Ísland.is, a 27% increase between months.

• 633 thousand logins with the Ísland.is authentication syestem, of which over 22 thousand are on behalf of others.

• 208 thousand documents were read in the Digital Mailbox.

• About 40 thousand applications were submitted through the Ísland.is application system, including 4,574 payments.

• 24,756 used the Ísland.is app in May, an increase of 11% between months.

Ísland.is rise in governments service survey

Ísland.is rises in all categories measured in the government service survey. They rise between years in user satisfaction, reliability, speed, and interface, according to the. It is a rewarding to see that users are pleased with the development of Ísland.is and the way service is provided.

Iceland Health increases their digital services

An application for the European Health Insurance Card has been submitted to the Ísland.is Applications System.is and information from the Iceland Health portal is now available on Ísland.is My pages .

Graduate students from the University of Iceland can now access both information on their graduation and confirm their academic record with an electronic seal on Ísland.is My pages.

The list of individuals with securities rights now appears automatically through web services on Ísland.is instead of being updated manually. The information on continuing education requirements for securities rights is also available.

Enhanced digital application for accommodation and restaurants

A list of issued licensed accommodations and restaurants can be found on Ísland.is and the digital application for the operating license has also been improved.
