Digital journey in numbers

Every month, the number of visits to Ísland.is, use of the application system, Login for all, the Digital mailbox, and the chatbot Askur increases, breaking previous records. This rise in activity is due to the availability of more services on Ísland.is and the growing number of users who are utilizing them.

Mars in numbers:

• Askur spokesperson answered 60 thousand questions related to tax returns.

• The number of pageviews on Ísland.is exceeded 2 million.

• My pages on Ísland.is were used by 255,000 people.

• Around 1.2 million registrations were made using Innskráning fyrir alla.

• As per the latest update, around 160 thousand users have downloaded the Ísland.is app.

The European Health Insurance Card

Icelanders traveling to Europe can now apply for the European Health Insurance Card on Ísland.is, access information about the card on Ísland.is' My pages as well as in the Ísland.is app.
Digital access to information related to the health insurance card and passport is amongst the things that will simplify Icelanders' lives while travelling.

Open meeting on EU Digital Identity Wallet

The registration for an open meeting on the Icelandic participation in the EU Digital Identity Wallet pilot project has started. The meeting, which will be discussing the topic of digital identity wallet, is scheduled to take place on April 16th.
Additionally, a multi-country consortium has come together to launch a pan-European payments pilot for the EU Digital ID Wallet.

The digital hunting card

The Environment Agency of Iceland has recently introduced digital hunting cards on their website, Ísland.is. This new feature allows hunters to store their hunting cards digitally on their phones, making the process more convenient and accessible.
As of now, there are nearly 30,000 registered hunting card holders in Iceland, and every year around 10-12 thousand people renew their hunting cards.
