he Financial Management Authoroty seeks fintech solutions
A new project in public innovation is underway with the intention of adopting financial technologies into public acconting practices.
The Challenge
The Financial Management Authority provides accounting services for around 150 government institutions, while approximately 30 larger institutions keep their own accounting. Together, these institutions hold around 1,400–1,500 business cards.
The challenge for the Financial Management Authority is twofold:
A significant amount of manual work is required in the current operation, and delays in data submissions create heavy workload peaks for the Financial Management Authority’s finance department.
Incomplete data submissions impair the overview of government procurement data.
In collaboration with the Fintech Cluster, the Financial Management Authority invites companies in the fintech market to a special briefing session on the challenge, where the needs will be clearly outlined. Companies will also have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss with representatives of the Financial Management Authority following the presentation.
Then what?
Following the briefing, the Financial Management Authority will seek temporary trial partnerships to test promising fintech solutions. This development partnership will be structured as part of the Financial Management Authority's preparations for anticipated procurement of innovative accounting services and the implementation of solutions in the financial operations of central government institutions.
