Drone ban due to eruption

Due to volcanic activity and necessary emergency and investigative flights, the Icelandic Transport Authority has, at the request of the Civil Protection Coordination Centre, prohibited drone flights in an area within 4 kilometers around position 6353N02222W. The ban is valid until 23:59 on 15 February 2024. Exemption requests shall be submitted to the Civil Protection Coordination Centre via e-mail info@sst.is or via phone 831-1644.
