Combined catch share

The Directorate of Fisheries has compiled information on the combined catch share of fishing vessels owned by individuals and legal entities. According to the Directorate of Fisheries data, no single company or individual exceeds the 12% allowable total value of the catch share of all species.

In the catch quota system, these are the three companies with the largest shares:

• Brim hf. 11.34%

• Samherji Ísland ehf. 7.27%

• Síldarvinnsnan hf. with 6.87%

In the hook-and-line catch quota system, these are the three companies with the largest shares:

• Grunnur ehf. 4.7%

• Jakob Valgeir ehf. with 4.12%

• Stakkavík ehf. 4.06%

The summary does not include the combined catch share of fishing vessels owned by related parties, as that aspect is being processed by the agency.
