Aflarinn will stop operating at the end of the year
Attention is drawn to the fact that Aflarinn ehf. has terminated its contract with the Directorate of Fisheries for access to web service for the submission of catch information.
The contract between Aflarinn ehf. and the Directorate of Fisheries expires on January 1st, 2024, and it will not be possible to use their services for the submission of catch information from that date. Vessel operators who are using the service of the Aflarinn when submitting catch information must therefore look for a new service provider.
More information about the catch logbook can be found on the Directorate of Fisheries website, as well as information about the service providers that meet the requirements and have received the Directorate's approval for the submission of catch information in a web service.
The Directorate of Fisheries emphasizes to ship captains that, in the meantime, care must be taken to register catch information in the correct order in the interface of Aflarinn ehf.'s system, so that the information is delivered correctly to the Directorate of Fisheries web service. Responsibility for the correct submission of catch information in accordance with the law and government regulations rests with the captain of the fishing vessel
