Iceland Health receives an award for digital development
At the measure Tengjum ríkið which took place on Friday 22 September, Iceland Health received an award in the field of digitization, which is awarded to public entities that make use of open and shared tools developed by Digital Iceland.
The award is entitled Digital Steps and was first awarded in 2022. There are nine digital steps, and Iceland Health has already taken eight steps, and the ninth is on the way.
Of the eight digital steps that Iceland Health has taken, the implementation of a new website in Ísland.is, which began airing a little over a year ago, The website has added a service page and a chatterbox called Askur. The website of Iceland Health is the most visited website of Icelandic institutions. The service page and the chatter have greatly improved the service of the institution and the reception has been excellent.
In my pages on Ísland.is there is a new group Health. In the meantime, Iceland Health has incorporated information previously included in Réttindagátt on dentists, primary care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, assistive devices and nutrition. In the coming weeks, information on medications and payment participation will be added. In addition, Iceland Health has introduced the digital mailbox on Ísland.is.
Iceland Health participated in the development of the application system on Ísland.is and the first application to be made was in the system. Today, there are three applications, namely an application for health insurance, an accident notification and then an application for a European health insurance card. An application for the European Health Insurance Card is by far the largest application in the application system on Ísland.is in terms of numbers.
X-Road has also been implemented by Iceland Health, and the website services that counts around 20. The feed is used to display data on My pages on Ísland.is as well as to communicate data to the Directorate of Health, Landspítali and the Administration of Occupational Safety and Health.
Last but not least, the Icelandic Health Insurance has introduced an agency system called „Inn Logging for All“ against Réttindagátt and Gagnagátt.
The website is loaded and various information from Iceland Health is delivered to the Ísland.is app.
