Cranes, booms and other ship lifting equipment are approved by the Icelandic Transport Agency and/or an authorized inspection body, tested and initially inspected before the equipment is put into use; and - that it is regularly ascertained by inspection that the equipment remains in a safe and functional condition in the opinion of an authorized inspection body.
