Social Insurance Administration: Changes to disability and rehabilitation payments

Why is the age supplement not paid in the new system to those who were 44 to 66 years old at the first disability or rehabilitation assessment?

The payment entitlement in the new system has changed from the old system. According to the law, an age supplement is paid to those between the ages of 18 and 43. Full age supplement is paid to those who are 18-24 years old and decreases by 5% each year until the age of 43 when it is discontinued.

Those who were receiving an age supplement will get increases in the new system. The combined payment entitlement of disability pension and age supplement in the new system is higher than the combined payment entitlement of disability pension, age supplement, income security, and special supplement to pension for maintenance in the old system.
