Electronic Procedures
District commissioners can offer electronic procedures and meetings for case processing. It is possible to request an electronic procedure regarding family matters, legal guardianship cases, and estates. The individual selects a time that suits them, and an employee sends an invitation to their inbox on Ísland.is. The individual logs in using their electronic ID on Ísland.is and opens the invitation at the appointed time. The district commissioner uses teleconferencing equipment for the meeting and sends documents to be signed electronically and securely via email. The signed and stamped documents are then sent to the individual’s inbox on Ísland.is.
