Utbodsvefur.is is a public tenders publicity platform.

The website publishes advertisements and/or notices about proposed public purchasing procedures that are subject to laws and regulations on public procurement. This includes public, municipal and utility purchasing procedures when the amount of procurement exceeds national and foreign bid thresholds. On the website, public entities may also advertise purchasing procedures below the threshold to ensure transparency.

The website www.utbodsvefur.is publishes advertisements and/or notices concerning proposed public purchasing contracts that are subject to laws and regulations on public procurement. This includes public, municipal and utility contracts where the amount of the contracts exceeds national and foreign tender limits. Only public entities can request access and advertise tenders on this website. If the relevant entity (local authority / public authority) does not have access to the website, the Directorate of Finance must be contacted for publication of the tender notice. Advertisements that enter the website www.utbodsvefur.is must be in Icelandic, also in cases where the tender documents are in other languages, in accordance with Act No. 61/2011. Advertisements for tender documents in other languages may also be in those languages on the website. Advertisements must be clear and contain sufficient information to enable people to understand the nature of the contracts that are being tendered. If shorthands are used, full text must also be included for clarification.

Subscription to advertisements

You can subscribe to announcements of new calls for tenders. These announcements are sent out at 09.00 the day after the advertisement appears on the web.
