Events and meetings streaming and data protection
It is often possible to identify individuals who are seen in a flow and this is then covered by the rules on personal protection. Therefore, it is good to keep a few things in mind:
Just stream what is necessary.
All parties involved in an event must be informed of the flow.
Individuals should be educated about streaming, among other things, by placing clear signs/meanings stating that an event will be streamed and where cameras are being directed.
If a meeting is only needed via a stream, this is stated in the information about the meeting.
Indicate areas where no photo is taken.
If the purpose of a stream is only to show an event, it should not be recorded and stored.
Children are specially protected under the Data Protection Act.
Awareness of whether specific personal data that could be classified as sensitive personal data, such as health information or information about religion and beliefs, is being processed.
It is necessary to ensure that the technical solutions used are sufficiently safe.
It should be kept in mind that attendees may object to appearing in a stream. It is good to prepare instructions in advance on how to register and respond to objections.
